Phase 2: Grey-scale

In the second phase of our gestalt project, we utilized different values of grey within our works. Here is my best piece in the grey-scale format. It is heavy on continuance and figure/ground. Some people claim to see steps inside of it, but all I see is distorted boxes in 3D.

This second piece was a moc up trying to explore creating complex images with simple geometric shapes. This design works with the principle of completion due to your mind wanting to complete the face with just the simple shapes.

This is another simple moc up of the same style using the same design principles. This one resembles a sunset over water.
